Starlink installation in Ireland

Local installation planning in Ireland

Ireland’s installation settings range from Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick to rural communities along the Atlantic coast and inland farming areas. Give the full address and Eircode where applicable, and identify the entrance and the building that will house the router.

For a rural address, send the full location, entrance directions and photographs of the house and any outbuildings. Identify gates, restricted lanes and the room needing the connection. If a farm office, workshop or holiday unit is separate from the main building, discuss its network link explicitly rather than relying on Wi-Fi reaching it from the house.

To get started, order your Starlink kit through Starlink.com. A Satworks engineer will assess the property for obstructions, agree a suitable position for the antenna and connect it to your router.

We offer mounting options for different types of property and can discuss your installation requirements before the appointment.

Who we are

Professional Starlink installation in Ireland

A standard Starlink installation usually takes one to two hours. Your engineer will call on the morning of the appointment with an estimated arrival time.

On arrival, the engineer will assess the mounting position, install the equipment and connect the router. Your existing broadband can stay connected during the work, helping to minimise disruption. Before leaving, the engineer will check that your new connection is working.

FAQs

You can install a Starlink system yourself if you have the right skills and can work safely. A qualified installer can assess the location, mount the equipment securely and route the cable neatly.

Yes. Satworks works directly with Starlink on authorised installations in Ireland.

Order your Starlink kit at Starlink.com. If installation is offered during checkout, select it and follow the booking link Starlink sends you. You can also contact Satworks to discuss your installation.

A standard residential installation usually takes one to two hours. Complex properties may need more time or a separate survey.

A cable entry point is usually needed to connect the outdoor antenna to the indoor router. Your engineer will agree the route with you and leave the entry point sealed and watertight.

The engineer will set up and test the equipment before leaving, provided your Starlink service is active and the installation can be completed safely.

If we cannot find a position that provides service at your property, we will issue a partial refund and charge for the site survey, in line with your booking terms.

Coverage depends on the size and layout of your property and where the router is placed. Tell us if you need wider coverage; we can advise on additional networking or mesh Wi-Fi equipment.

A standard installation normally uses the supplied Starlink equipment and an existing suitable power socket. We will let you know if your property needs separate electrical work.

Tell us which building needs the router, where power is available and how far the buildings are apart. We assess the Starlink sky view and whether separate networking is needed for the outbuilding.

We consider the structure, wind exposure, safe access and weatherproof cable entry as well as the sky view. The final mount and route depend on a site-specific assessment.
