JOB PURPOSE

Visit the homes of new and existing Sky customers to install or upgrade Sky TV.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation of Sky TV in domestic properties, ranging from houses to flats and apartments, for new customer installs and existing customer upgrades.
Installations will vary between mini dish installs from a ladder and installs on existing communal systems, inclusive of set top box install and providing a full demonstration to the customer of how everything works.
Mini dish installs:
· Decide on a suitable location for the satellite dish to the customers’ satisfaction
· Obtain access to the dish location using ladders and roof ladders where necessary
· Securely fix and align the dish and run cabling to the chosen set top box location
· Install the set top box(es) and configure the set up to the customers’ requirements
Communal system installs:
· Locate and obtain access to the customers’ subscriber feed at the head end location and enable the feed for Sky TV, using any necessary adaptors, switches or power supplies, to provide a satisfactory signal at the outlet plate
· Install the set top box(es) and configure the set up to the customers’ requirements
Satisfactory completion of all allotted jobs per day and exceed NPS targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

None required as full training and certifications can be provided.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Preference will be given to those applicants with previous experience of satellite TV installations on an individual dish or communal system, using dSCR or dCSS and associated power adaptors, and set top box installations inclusive of full customer demonstrations.
Previous experience of in-home installations and provision of excellent customer service.
Previous experience of working at height from a ladder, preferably with a valid SWAH Level 3 certificate.
Current clean driving license and clear DBS certificate within the last 2 years.
Experience of remote working and job completion via PDA.
Experience in lone working and health and safety requirements that are specific to working at height.

A ‘can do’ attitude and ability to problem solve.
The proposed number of installs per day is 6-8 and BA
can be all types (MDU/SDU/Service calls) and we would welcome experienced sub-contracting engineers due to the short term nature of the work, noting that it may lead to a longer term relationship.
